Edge profiles

The edge is the part of a countertop you actually touch. It's cut with diamond wheels on our machines, then finished by hand — and hand-polishing is what separates a top that looks fabricated from one that looks made.

Eased & Polished

The clean, squared-off standard. Included in every quote.

Demi Bullnose

A soft half-round. Chips less than a square edge — a good choice with kids in the house.

Full Bullnose

Rounded top to bottom. The most forgiving edge we cut.

Ogee Bullnose

An S-curve into a rounded base. Traditional, and it catches the light.

Waterfall

A stepped profile with real depth. A statement on an island.

Triple Waterfall

Three stacked steps. The most detailed profile we offer.

A practical note on chipping

A square, sharp-cornered edge looks crisp, and it's the most likely to chip. A rounded profile — demi or full bullnose — spreads the impact of a dropped pan instead of concentrating it on a corner.

If you have young children, or you're the kind of cook who moves fast, the bullnose family is the practical choice. We'll show you both in the showroom and you can knock a knuckle against them.

Eased & polished is included in every quote. Anything past it is priced per linear foot and appears as its own line.
