What's in your quote — and what isn't
The worst thing that can happen in this business is a number that grows between the estimate and install day. So here is ours, in the open, before you ever call us.

- BacksplashQuoted per square foot and listed as its own line — never folded silently into the countertop number.
- Tear-out of your old countertopWe can do it; it's priced separately because some tops come out easily and some don't.
- Plumbing disconnect and reconnectWe're not plumbers. We'll tell you what needs doing and when.
- Upgraded edge profilesAnything past eased & polished is priced per linear foot.
- Farmhouse sink supportApron-front sinks need extra substrate work underneath.
- Cabinet modification or levellingSometimes needed on older homes before stone can safely go down.
- Difficult accessStairs, tight turns, or a second storey add labour.
About the backsplash, specifically
This is the one that catches people out across the whole countertop industry, so we'll be blunt about it: a countertop quote does not include a stone backsplash unless the backsplash appears on the quote.
Backsplash is quoted by the square foot, separately from the deck, because it's a separate piece of stone with its own cuts and its own labour. If you want it, say so at template and we'll price it then — while you can still decide.
If your quote from us doesn't have a backsplash line on it, it isn't in there. Ask. We'd far rather answer the question twice than have you find out on install day.
How we price
Countertops are priced per square foot of finished surface, and the rate depends on the material — a common granite and an exotic quartzite are not the same number. On top of the square footage sit the itemised extras above.
We don't publish a price list, and we'd be suspicious of anyone who does. The number depends on your actual layout, the slab you choose, how many seams the room forces, and what's underneath. What we will do is measure it properly and put a real, itemised figure in writing before you commit to anything.
Contractors and builders: call the shop and ask for trade pricing on granite and quartz.
